Meet our speakers

Jonathan Leitch

Director of Commodity Research

Jonathan Leitch is a member of Kpler’s Insight team in charge of client liaison.He is a recognised industry expert with over 30 years of experience in the crude oil and refined product markets. He has worked in trading, shipping and broking for companies including Shell and RWE.Jonathan moved into research and analysis in 2005, working for FGE, Wood Mackenzie and Turner, Mason & Company.He joined Kpler in 2022 to take the lead on cementing relationships between the analyst team and our clients, helping to bring reputable insights to the commodity community by harnessing Kpler’s considerable array of proprietary data.

Viktor Katona

Lead Analyst – Sour Crude

Viktor started his career at Hungary's MOL, first as a physical crude trader, managing Russian pipeline crude flows to Central Europe, then leading the same company’s seaborne crude trading operations. Having joined JBC Energy in early 2021 to gradually become the head of crude analysis, Viktor is now heading Kpler's sour crude analysis within the wider research team, covering supply and flows of OPEC+ countries, Latin America and others. He is based in Vienna, Austria.

Laura Page

LNG analyst, Kpler Insight

Laura joined Kpler’s Insight team as senior LNG analyst in 2021 and is responsible for the team’s LNG analytics, with a particular focus on supply and demand fundamentals. Laura has been covering the LNG market as a journalist and analyst for eight years. Previously she worked as Deputy Editor of Argus Media’s LNG daily report and as lead LNG analyst at Refinitiv (previously Thomson Reuters).

Andon Pavlov

Lead Analyst Refining and Dirty Products

Andon has been part of the JBC Energy research team since early 2017, being the primary point of reference regarding FSU and CEE topics, whilst building and expanding the company’s supply and demand models with a special focus on bottom of the barrel. Since then, he has grown into the role of Head of Downstream at JBC Energy, before taking over the Lead Analyst Refining and Dirty Products position at Kpler. Andon has worked in corporate finance and data management at the World Bank as well as Zobele Group.
