Laura Page

Insight manager - natural gas & LNG

Laura joined Kpler in July 2021 and is leading the build-out of the natural gas and LNG Insight service, which has comprehensive coverage of LNG, European and US natural gas market fundamentals, as well as JKM, TTF and Henry Hub price forecasts. She has been analysing commodity markets for over 12 years, covering a broad range of markets including metals, fertilisers, European power and LNG. Laura has been focusing on LNG markets since 2015, working at Argus Media as Deputy Editor of the LNG Daily report and at Refinitiv (now LSEG) as Lead LNG analyst. Laura is based in London and holds a BA and MSc in Economics from the University of Exeter.

JP Lacouture

Principal Insight Analyst - Natural Gas & LNG

JP joined Kpler Insight as Principal Insight Analyst – LNG & Natural Gas in June 2024, leading the analysis of the North American natural gas and LNG markets. Before joining Kpler, JP spent 9 years as an LNG Consultant at Poten & Partners, serving as the primary expert on the upstream, midstream, and LNG sectors for North and South America. Throughout his tenure at Poten, JP worked on numerous studies for clients across the energy value chain. In particular, JP participated or led commercial and market due diligence projects for nearly all operating and under construction LNG export projects in the US and Canada. Prior to Poten, JP also worked as a Lead Oil & Gas Analyst at Globaldata for 3 years where he created economic models for over 200 oil and gas fields in APAC and North America. JP is based in Brooklyn, NY and he holds a BS in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.

Troy Carney

Senior Market Analyst – Natural Gas & LNG

Troy joined Kpler in April 2024. He is a member of Kpler’s insight team and specializes in US natural gas fundamental analysis. He also works on improving and maintaining Kpler’s LNG platform as a member of the LNG data operations team. Troy began his career as a commodities market analyst specializing in US natural gas liquids. After that he got into physical gas operations as a natural gas scheduler. He then managed the natural gas supply portfolio of a retail energy company, where he forecasted customer demand and hedged exposure by trading NYMEX/basis. He also worked as a pricing analyst where he built natural gas pricing models for utilities in the northeast US. Troy is based in New York City and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in energy management from Tulane University.
