With over 25 years of trading and broking experience in the energy market, joined Kpler in 2022 as Head of Market Engagement for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Works closely with clients providing advice and support across the energy sector, leveraging data and analytical tools to offer expert counsel on market trends and opportunities. Was instrumental in supporting the launch of the AG fuel oil derivative contract in 2016 and continues to advise traders, exchanges, and PRAs. Career includes positions as trader for Trafigura, director at Nigerian energy company Oando, and director at brokerage house Starfuels. Regularly appears as energy commentator for newspapers, radio, television and newswires, and sits on various industry panels.

Alexis joined Kpler’s Insight Team in March 2023 as Lead Major Dry Bulks Analyst. Based in London, he brings over a decade of experience in dry bulk commodities and freight research. He leads the development of Kpler’s dry bulks research offering, covering coal, fertiliser, grain, iron ore, minor bulks, and dry freight. His work spans market analysis, supply-demand and pricing outlooks, client presentations, industry speaking engagements, and supporting the growth of Kpler’s dry bulks data products. Previously, he was a Director at Simpson Spence Young (SSY) in the Consultancy & Research team.

Prior to Kpler's acquisition, Andon had spent five years at JBC Energy, leading the downstream research team. For the past three years, he has spearheaded in-depth analyses on refinery margin estimates, operational supply and demand modelling, and forecasting, along with comprehensive cross-barrel analyses. Working alongside his team of seasoned professionals at Kpler, recently, Andon expanded his leadership to oversee liquids and freight research at Kpler. He is based in Vienna, Austria.

Homayoun brings over 11 years of experience in theoil and gas industry, with a strong track record inmarket analysis and strategic insight. He leads Kpler’s crude oil analysis team, managing ateam of analysts focused on global oil marketdynamics, from supply and demand fundamentals togeopolitical drivers. Homayoun frequently delivers insights to globalclients and speaks at major industry events. Homayoun holds an MSc in Energy Management fromESCP Europe and an MA in MENA Geopolitics fromSciences Po Grenoble. He is fluent in Farsi and French and is based in Paris, France.

Charles joined Kpler in May 2020 and started in the market data operations team focusing on LPG and LNG. He has since joined the Insight team in early 2024 focusing on global LNG trade and European natural gas, more specifically, he is responsible for the supply balances for key basins, following market trends and ad-hoc analysis.

Alessandro Armenia leads Kpler's Power Analytics team. He holds 3 nationalities and speaks 5 languages (Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, English). He earned a BSc in physics engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a master's in Energy Engineering from IST Portugal and École Polytechnique France. Before Kpler, he worked at TotalEnergies as a CCS analyst on modelling and techno-economic analysis. He also hosted the InnoStation podcast for 2 years, interviewing 15+ energy startup CEOs. At Kpler, Alessandro develops Power Insights (technical reports, articles, price forecasts) and presents to clients. His expertise covers European power markets, especially short-term and balancing markets in the CWE region.
Matthew Wright is the Lead Freight Analyst at Kpler. In his role, he leads on providing clients with expertise, analysis and research on the freight markets. Prior to Kpler, Matthew was a Senior Tanker Analyst at SSY ship brokers, where he was responsible for analysing oil tanker markets, leading the development of new models and handling consulting inquiries. Matthew has extensive oil market experience from seven years in consulting at Argus Media where he worked on a range of single client projects before moving on to manage the delivery the subscription reports focusing on freight, crude and refined products.
