Meet the speakers

Naveen Das
Senior Crude Oil Analyst

Naveen joined Kpler Insight as Senior Analyst in April 2025 with over 10 years of cross-commodity experience in analysis and trading. He started his career as desk analyst at INEOS covering light ends, before moving to Argus Media on solid fuels to help build their data offering on coal and petroleum coke. More recently, he worked on the paper and West Africa desks at Chevron before joining DV Energy as lead analyst and trader, where he built the fundamental analysis platform and traded financial derivatives. Naveen is based in London and holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Management from Imperial College London.

Johannes Rauball
Senior Crude Oil Analyst

After completing his PhD in Petroleum Geology at the Montanuniversity Leoben, Johannes joined JBC Energy as a crude analyst in February 2021, where he oversaw the firm’s in-house supply model. At the time, Johannes began his PMBA in Energy Management, which he completed in 2022. Johannes is now part of the wider crude analysis team at Kpler, and covers the latest market trends and provides research on supply, demand, and flows of various regions, including OPEC+, Asia, and North America. He is currently based in Vienna, Austria.

Ines Goncalves
Lead Research Analyst, Gasoline

Ines started her career as a junior economist at the monetary policy division of the Central Bank of Portugal (economics and research department), before moving to London in 2015 to become a data analyst for Bloomberg. She has been working in the energy space since 2018 when she joined Bloomberg NEF’s new oil demand team looking at long-term demand trends, within the context of the energy transition. Ines then moved to Refinitiv where she worked for four years in the oil research team, covering European gasoline and middle distillates markets. Ines joined Kpler in February 2023 as a senior oil analyst on the clean products side, covering primarily gasoline, to help the Insight team broaden the scope and depth of analysis on clean products markets.

Matt Wright
Principal Freight Analyst - Insight

Matthew Wright is the Lead Freight Analyst at Kpler. In his role, he leads on providing clients with expertise, analysis and research on the freight markets. Prior to Kpler, Matthew was a Senior Tanker Analyst at SSY ship brokers, where he was responsible for analysing oil tanker markets, leading the development of new models and handling consulting inquiries. Matthew has extensive oil market experience from seven years in consulting at Argus Media where he worked on a range of single client projects before moving on to manage the delivery the subscription reports focusing on freight, crude and refined products.
