How to manage shared mailboxes in maritime operations

Email is still the backbone of maritime communication. Fixtures get negotiated over email, port calls get coordinated over email, and compliance records get built from email threads that stretch back years. 

Yet most shared mailboxes in shipping run on the same tools built for individual users, not teams. The result is a familiar kind of chaos, and it shows up differently depending on where you sit in the operation.
