Previously, she was a senior research analyst at Energy Intelligence Group and served as Chief OPEC Correspondent and Dubai Deputy Bureau Chief for eight years, earning multiple journalism awards, including the 2023 OPEC award for best journalist. She also worked as an Energy Correspondent for Reuters in Dubai, Doha, and Riyadh, covering energy and political risk. Amena holds a BA in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in Egypt, with a major in management information systems.

Sumit Ritolia, a Lead Analyst for Refining Supply and Modelling at Kpler, has over a decade of expertise in refining operations, supply planning, and downstream economics. He holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. Before joining Kpler, Sumit spent 7.5 years atONGC, a national refining company, specializing in hydrocarbon value chain optimization and supply chain management. He then worked for nearly two years at S&P Global Commodity Insights as a Refinery Economist, focusing on market fundamentals, margin modeling, and refining outlooks. Since April 2024,Sumit has been part of Kpler’s downstream insight team, leading analytical coverage on refining supply-demand dynamics and regional capacity trends, supporting clients across the energy trading, refining, and investment sectors.He is currently based in Gurgaon, India‍

George has over ten years of varied experience working in the energy industry and joined Kpler as a Senior Middle Distillates analyst in July 2024 to complement and expand the existing coverage.Before joining Kpler, George held a planning position at an oil refiner and distributor in Germany, was a market analyst in Dubai and covered middle distillates for a PRA in the UK. He is based in London.‍
