Alexis joined the Insight Team at Kpler as Lead Major Dry Bulks Analyst in March 2023. Based in London, he has more than a decade’s experience in dry bulk commodity and dry freight research. Alexis is leading the development and expansion of Kpler’s dry bulks research offering. This includes analysis of coal, fertiliser, grain, iron ore, minor bulks, and dry freight markets. In addition to studying market developments and constructing supply, demand, and pricing outlooks, his work includes presenting to clients, speaking at major industry events, and supporting the development of Kpler’s dry bulks data offering. Before joining Kpler, Alexis was a Director at shipbroker Simpson Spence Young (SSY), where he was part of the SSY Consultancy & Research team.
Firat joined Kpler’s insight team in 2024 as a Senior Dry Bulk analyst and has over seven years of experience covering the seaborne thermal coal market. Firat spent the early years of his career in banking, working in various roles in corporate banking and structured finance divisions. Firat’s focus is modeling the global supply demand balance for the seaborne coal market and offering in-depth research analysis to bring transparency to dry bulk markets.
Based in Paris, Zhiyuan joined the Insight Team at Kpler as a Dry Bulk Commodity Analyst in early 2023. With a region focus on Asia-Pacific, he drives analyses throughout the iron ore, coal, and bauxite value chain within Kpler, including examining the supply and demand dynamics, tracking the operational performance of major global miners and delivering insights into market trends. Zhiyuan holds a Master's degree from EMLYON Business School, with a research focus on commodity derivatives there.
